Steven S "Steve" LaTour

Steven S. “Steve” LaTour, age 51, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident.  Steve was born October 3, 1969 in Green Bay, WI, son of Gene LaTour and Amy Jane (Schomburg) LaTour.

Steve graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1987.  He studied at Marquette University immediately following high school and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College recently.  He lived the majority of his life in Green Bay.  In 2018, Steve moved to Appleton and married his soul mate and the love of his life, Brenda (Ebben) Kohl on September 28, 2019.

Steve was the ultimate “Family First” man!  Brenda, his kids, and his family were his entire world.  Everything he did and every decision he made with Brenda revolved around their family.  He loved watching their kids play the sports they loved, watching football & baseball, attending concerts, cooking meals (sometimes 3 different dinners to satisfy everyone’s preferences), enjoying a Starbucks caramel macchiato with Brenda, watching movies, playing cribbage, and even a little fishing.  Steve had a huge sweet tooth and loved anything made with sugar.  Steve had a passion for music that showed through daily.  He loved listening to music and spent several years playing guitar in a local band earlier in life.

Steve will be dearly missed by his loving wife Brenda LaTour of Appleton; parents Gene LaTour of Redding, CA and Amy Jane LaTour (Curtis Dik) of Gayville, SD; sons Aaron, Ryan, Jacob, and Nathan; daughter Madeline; step-daughters Jenna Kohl and Anna Kohl; brother Ron LaTour of Princeville, IL; sisters Amy LaTour (John Tober) of Las Cruces, NM and Tina LaTour of Green Bay; in-laws Gerry & Jeannie Ebben of Kaukauna; brother-in-law Steve Ebben of Combined Locks; sister-in law Lisa (Jeremy) Krueger of Neenah; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding Steve in death are his paternal & maternal grandparents.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 7:00pm, at Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel, 1592 S. Oneida Street, Menasha, WI.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4:00pm until the time of service. Steve’s family will not be hosting a casual Celebration of Life at this time.  We will gather together to celebrate Steve again at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
