Steven Scott Drake

Steven Scott Drake, 55, known affectionately to his close friends as “Duck,” passed away on December 15, 2024 in Appleton, WI. He was born on October 8, 1969, in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, to Kenneth and Eunice (Wick) Drake.

Steve followed in his father’s footsteps and became a talented construction worker after high school. He was a devoted husband and father, whose smile lit up the room. Steve embraced a variety of hobbies that reflected his love for the great outdoors. He found joy in hunting and fishing with his dogs Jordy and Dexter. He was a master on the grill and loved to relax with a Brandy Old Fashioned which he always garnished with a Lifesaver gummy. Steve had a passion for motorcycles, which he rode as soon as he was old enough to hop on.

Steve is survived by his son Logan Drake; father Kenneth Drake; sisters Sharon (Donald) Knauer, Susan (Daniel) Kolberg, Shiela Drake, Shirley Russell and Sharlene Lopez as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Christine Drake; mother Eunice Drake; sister LuAnn Drake and brother-in-law Robert Russell.

Visitation for Steve will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Wichmann Funeral Home, Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St. in Menasha, with a celebration of life at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
