Steven C. Fischer

Steven Fischer, age 53, passed away Monday, April 17, 2006 at the Cherry Meadows Hospice. Steve was born in Appleton on June 9, 1952, and was a graduate of Appleton West High School. He received his degree from the University of Wisconsin, and also held a Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Texas.

Steve is survived by his parents: Donald and Virginia (Heins) Fischer of Appleton; several aunts and uncles: Edward and Marge Alesch of Richardson, Texas; Rev. David (Marcy) Fischer of Minnesota; John (Betty) Fischer of Mackville; Mary (Bob) Allen of Florida; and Bob Fischer of Montana. Other survivors include two cousins: John Alesch of Dripping Springs, Texas and Edward (Becky) Alesch of Austin Texas, as well as other cousins, relatives, and friends.

A private service was held for the immediate family, and burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Appleton at a later date.

The family would like to thank Mike Hill, Sue Hill, Travis Hill, and Cynthy Anderson for being such dear friends over the years and for offering their unfailing support. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed to the Cherry Meadows Hospice.
