Steven A. Koffarnus

Steven Alvin Koffarnus, age 63 of Kaukauna, passed away on June 24, 2012 with his family by his side after a courageous ten-month month battle with cancer. He was born in Appleton on April 11, 1949 to Roman and Nina (Martin) Koffarnus. He graduated from Brillion High School in 1967. Steve's employment included being a Manager at Koffarnus Bar & Bowl, sixteen years at G & G Machine, and most recently by Per Mar Security as a Security Guard until his illness. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kaukauna, and enjoyed camping, country music festivals with friends, hunting and fishing, playing cards, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his wife of thirty-five years: Kathy (Kalies) Koffarnus; two sons: Jason (Cait) Koffarnus and Scott (Deb) Konop; a daughter: Tracy (Chris) Rank; and his grandchildren: Ethan, Ana, Ava, Ayden, and Lilyana. Steve is also survived by his siblings: Nancy (John) Behnke, Gary (Ruby) Koffarnus, Bonnie (Phillip) Matthies, Diane (Tim) Rulseh, Cheryl Duszynski, Scott (Cheri) Koffarnus; his step-mother: Kay Draheim Koffarnus; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at BETHANY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 124 W. 10th Street in Kaukauna, with Rev. Levi Willms officiating. Visitation wil be held at the church on Thursday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.

Steve's family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to Pastor Levi and Bethany Lutheran Church, Dr. Goggins, Dr. Kohl and their staffs, and the staff at Cherry Meadows Hospice for their compassionate care of Steven.
