Stephen C. Meidam died on June 30, 2021, at Century Oaks, in Appleton.
He was born in Appleton, Wisconsin on January 10th, 1946 to Miles R. and Helen J. (Williamson) Meidam. He lived almost his entire life in Appleton and the surrounding communities.
Steve loved the outdoors and fishing in particular. Every opportunity he had as a youth found him fishing or exploring local natural areas with his friends and brothers. He also spent a great deal of time collecting and breeding tropical fish, at one time managing numerous tropical fish tanks of various sizes. He also enjoyed the hobby of flying model airplanes that he had built. He especially loved and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Steve attended Appleton High School and graduated in 1964.
Steve is survived by his three brothers, Miles T. (Susan) Meidam, Menasha, WI, Jeff (Linda) Meidam, Scandanavia, WI, and Jon S. (Tammy) Meidam, Menasha, WI; five nieces, Melissa K. Meidam, Oshkosh, WI, Rebecca M. (Moses) Cohen, Oshkosh, WI, Christina A. (Tyler) Schmidt, Oshkosh, WI, Kyra A. (Travis) Gilbert, Neenah, WI, and Kynsey G. Meidam, Menasha, WI; and four grand-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Miles R. Meidam; mother, Helen J. Meidam; and grandparents Glen and Olga Meidam, and Guy and Frieda Williamson.
Steve’s final resting place will be by his father and mother at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton.
