Age 38, died Wednesday morning, December 17, 2003, with his family around him. Steve lost his battle with brain cancer and will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. He was born November 29, 1965, to Clem and Dorothy Dozer, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Steve was a partner with McCarty Curry Wydeven Peeters & Haak Law Firm, in Kaukauna, where he practiced municipal law. Prior to that he was an assistant City Attorney for the City of Appleton for about four years. Steve enjoyed his work immensely, but still found time to enjoy his many hobbies. Steve was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He also found great happiness in his two girls and loved spending time with them, they were his greatest joy. Steve was a member of First United Methodist Church and had been the President of the Board of Clarity Care, which assisted the elderly. Steve left behind him his wife, Denise K. (Zeller) Dozer, to whom he had been married for 10 years; his two daughters Emilie, age 5 and Elizabeth, age 2 ¬Ω. He is further survived by his parents, Clem and Dorothy Dozer, Casper, Wyoming; his two brothers, Dr. David (Robin) Dozer, Brookfield, WI and their children Andrew, Amy and Deanna; Daniel (Julie) Dozer, Wausau, WI and their children, Rachael Johnathon and Catherine; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services for Stephen will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 20, 2003, at FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, corner of Franklin and Drew Streets, with Reverend Kent Ingram, Reverend Jane Voigts and Reverend Jane Weeden officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
The family would like to thank Scott Barr and James Edwards, Steve’s two best friends, for their devotion to Steve during his illness.
