Stephen A. Miller

Age 41, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 6, 2003 as the result of a Forest County snowmobiling accident. Steve was born in Menominee, Michigan on July 13, 1961, the son of Charles and Joan Miller of rural Kaukauna. He was a 1979 graduate of the Kaukauna High School, and enrolled in a machinist apprenticeship program at Fox Valley Technical College. He graduated in May of 1984, and for the past thirteen years had been employed by Accurate Machine Company in Kaukauna. On February 17, 1990, he married the former Barb Mitchell in Kimberly; she survives. He enjoyed outdoor activities of all kinds, especially camping and snowmobiling.

Steve is survived by his wife: Barb Miller of Little Chute; his parents: Charlie and Joan Miller of Kaukauna; Barb's parents: Barney and Elsie Mitchell of Combined Locks; his maternal grandmother: Mary Louise Miller of Appleton; two sisters and a brother: Sara Jansen of Little Chute and her special friend Charlie Cohen and her daughter Katie; Peter (Jennifer) Miller of Neenah and their children Madeline, Celia, and Jackson; and Susan (John) Sorenson of Valders and their son Ian. Steve is also survived by Barb's sisters: Linda (Dan) Bubolz of Black Creek and their children Sarah and Jason; Mary (Dan) Peterson of Evergreen, Colorado; Bonnie (Wayne) Byrum of New London and their sons David and Kevin; and Kim (Tom) Nelson of Appleton and Tom's children Lee, Kirschen, and Remmey. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and many friends also mourn Steve's passing.

The funeral liturgy for Steve will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Tuesday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service.
