Stephan Wayne Van Domelen, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 17, 2024 as a result of an accident. He was born February 18, 1977, in Appleton, WI, to James and Sandra (Treiber) Van Domelen.
Steve graduated from Appleton West High School in 1995 and went on to further his education at Fox Valley Technical College, earning a degree in welding fabrication. He began his career at Contrx Industries in Neenah for 16 years, first as an Assistant Plant Manager and later becoming the Production Manager. In the fall of 2014, taking a leap of faith and fulfilling a lifelong dream, Steve along with his close friend and colleague, Mike Dunbar, partnered together and All Lift Cranes, Inc. was originated.
Steve married his high school sweetheart, Lisa (Mereness) Van Domelen, on August 26, 2000 at St. Pius X Church in Appleton. Together they went on to have two adoring children, Mason and Brooklyn. Steve will always be remembered for the tremendous amount of love he had for his family. He enjoyed family vacations, golfing, going up north with the “guys", riding his ATV, weekend shenanigans with his best friend and his daily routine playing fetch (chuck it) with his dog Tulsi. Anyone that knew Steve knew that he also had a love for crude humor.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Lisa, son Mason, daughter Brooklyn, beloved family dog Tulsi, mother Sandra Van Domelen, brothers Rick (Carmen) Van Domelen, Mike (Diana) Van Domelen, childhood best friend who was like a brother Aaron (Shawn) Schmidt, sister-in-law Ashlee Mereness, brother-in-law Christopher Mereness, nieces Jordon Van Domelen, Marley Van Domelen, Jacqi Van Domelen, Emily (Steven) Van Wychen and great nephews Caiden, Landon, and Hunter. He is further survived by his uncle Jerry (Mary) Van Domelen, aunt Evie Treiber Boyke and numerous cousins.
Steve was preceded in death by his father James Van Domelen, mother-in-law Ly Ann Beatty, paternal grandparents Sylvester (Agnes) Van Domelen and maternal grandparents Ervin (Yolanda, aka Dolly) Treiber.
Visitation for Steve will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 11:00 AM until time of funeral service at 2:00 PM at Wichmann Funeral Home Tri-County Chapel, 1592 South Oneida Street, Menasha, WI 54952. Private interment will be held at a later date.
