Stephan Gebert

Stephan R Gebert passed away on Sunday August 20th at 7:52 am as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident involving a drunk driver. He was born January 16th, 1952 at Wausau Memorial Hospital to Elizabeth and Clarence Gebert. He worked as a maintenance mechanic at Hillshire Farms (Tyson) for the past 37 years and was due to retire early next year.

Stephan enjoyed camping, riding his motorcycle, fishing and especially spending time with his only granddaughter Brianna. He was a huge history buff and enjoyed watching old Westerns and war movies. Stephan could fix any car, motorcycle, or appliance you would put in front of him and would always be the first to step up should someone need help with anything. Stephan was one of the most reliable, genuine and selfless people you would ever meet and will be missed immensely by his family and loved ones.

Stephan is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Lynda (Drootsan) Gebert; two daughters, Serena (Tyler) Westphal and Samantha Gebert; and one granddaughter Brianna. He is also survived by his older brothers Norman (Sandy) Gebert and Norbert (Jane) Gebert; his sister Mary (Otto) Reetz; and younger brothers Richard (Cory) Gebert, Patrick (Beth) Gebert, Jerome (Roxy) Gebert and Junior (Penny) Gebert. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Elizabeth and Clarence Gebert, and brother Daniel Gebert.

The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday August 24th at Wichmann Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street in Menasha, with visitation hours before the service from 2:00-6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be set up.
