Age 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2002 at Shawano Medical Center. She was born on June 6, 1913 in Strum, WI the daughter of the late Even and Lena (Flugrud) Skoug. On October 23, 1932 she married Herman Hass, and he passed away in 1977. She was employed as a nursing assistant at Outagamie County Health Care Center for 14 years just before her retirement. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughters Mary (Mayford) Mengert of Marion, Wisconsin; Karen Atsch of Arlington Heights, Illinois; and Beverly Gasper of San Benito, Texas; a son Bruce Hass of Marion, Wisconsin; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman Hass, her son Douglas Hass, a great grandson Ryan Gasper, her parents, six brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 11, 2002 at 11:00 AM at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 3009 North Meade Street in Appleton with the Rev. Dennis Ellisen officiating. Interment will take place at Little Wolf Cemetery in Manawa. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Thursday (TONIGHT) from 4-8 PM, and at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established for Our Saviors Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.
