Shirley A. Timm, age 70, of Appleton, died peacefully at her home, Friday morning, August 26, 2005, with her family at her side, following a courageous battle. She was born July 30, 1935, to the late Clarence and Frances (Queoff) Rockey, in Green Bay and had been an Appleton resident for 40 years. Shirley was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother and was an outgoing and sharing person. She enjoyed painting, cross-stitching, bingo and coffee at Tootsie's Café. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, John "Jack" Timm, to whom she had been married for 31 years; her children, Linda Kersten, Pat (Dan) Lancour, Kathy (Eric) McGrath, Cheryl (Robert) Stuyvenberg, Tom (Shelly) Jens, Lisa (Al) Kunstman, Jason Timm, Amy Jo Timm, and her special friend, Miriah Kelley; her grandchildren, Chris (Liezl) Boehnlein, Brian Boehnlein, Alissa Boehnlein, Tamara (Brian) Schuh, Kristen Jenkins, Kim Hinkens, Keri (Eric) Hill, Kassidy Hinkens, Jaime Winfree, Shawna (Rudy) Lancour-Lopez, Rodger Lancour, Kevin Lancour, Robert Lancour, Amanda McGrath, Tami (Randal) Hensley, Tina McGrath, Dawn (Lee) Vang, Robert Stuyvenberg, Adam Stuyvenberg, JoAnn Stuyvenberg, Tim (Debbie) Jens, Travis Jens, Nicole Jens, Joe Deuster, Tanya Deuster, Kyle Deuster, Ashley Kunstman, Tristen Timm; and "Gramma Great" to 19 babies. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters, Clarence (Agnes) Rockey, Carol (late William) Kuchenbecker, Marge (Robert) Collins, Don (Lorraine) Rockey and Mary (Dick) Neushart; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Spook. She was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Femal, her two fathers, Clarence Rockey and Frank Femal, daughter, LuAnn (Jens) Hinkens, grandson, Tommy Lancour, two great grandsons, Brayden Hensley, and Elliott Vang, a nephew, Craig Brem, niece, Thea (Rockey) Hubbard and a brother-in-law, William Kuchenbecker. The funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 30, 2005, at ST BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, with Father Donald Zuleger officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm, Monday and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
Special thanks to Fox Valley Pulmonary, especially Dr. Whiteside, for all his years of care and to Lisa "The Boss", our hospice nurse, who felt like part of our family, even in the short time we knew her.
