Sharon Lynn Tougas, age 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, January 14, 2012 at Brewster Village.
She was born on January 24, 1940 in Milwaukee, the daughter of the late Waldemar and Rosamond (Mc Leod) Walthers. Sharon married Harvey Tougas of Brainerd, Minnesota and had three children. She grew up in Cudahy, Wisconsin and spent most of her life in Caledonia, raising her children. She worked in Ophthalmology offices for the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and later in Neenah. Sharon was active with The Red Hat Ladies and was a very involved resident at Brewster Village for the past three years, serving on many committees for various activities and functions. She will be missed by the staff at Brewster Village for her contributions and livelihood.
Sharon is survived by her only sibling, her brother: Allan Walthers of Idaho. Also survived by her sons: Timothy (Pam) Tougas of Appleton and Troy (Tonya) Tougas of Racine; her daughter: Tammy Tougas of Milwaukee; four grandchildren: Max and Graham Tougas, Appleton; Terra and Taylor Tougas, Racine. She is further survived by cousins and many friends. Sharon will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother and father, husband, Harvey Tougas and stepfather, Edward Wildt.
A memorial service for Sharon will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL. Rev. Karon Sandberg will be officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Brewster Village.
