Sharon L. Zitzelsberger, 56, passed away after a courageous 23 month battle with lung cancer on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Sharon was born on September 7, 1958 to Ronald Sr and Dorothy (Magnuson) Wolff in Appleton. On March 17, 1979 she was united in marriage to Steven Zitzelsberger at St. Pius X. Sharon worked at Guardian Life Insurance Company until her illness. She enjoyed knitting, the outdoors and nature. The most important things to her were her family, and the time she spent with her children and grandchildren will always be treasured.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Steven Zitzelsberger, two children; Kristie (Nicholas) Marx, Brett (Jessica) Zitzelsberger, grandsons; Riley and Austin Marx, granddaughters; Addisyn and Aubree Zitzelsberger, two brothers; Ronald jr (Karri) Wolff and Herb Wolff, her brother-in-laws and sisters-in-law; Sue Zitzelsberger, Barb (Don) Laux, Mark (Barb) Zitzelsberger, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law; Tony and Cele Zitzelsberger, and a special brother-in-law Randy Zitzelsberger.
A memorial service for Sharon will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 7:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Conkright and the nurses and staff (her earth Angels) at Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology for all they have done, and to the special friends and family who walked with Sharon and her family during her journey.
