Piette, Sharon L.
Age 58, died Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital, Milwaukee, after a year-long courageous battle with cancer.
Sharon was born November 25, 1948, in Appleton, the daughter of Aurelia “Ory” (Hill) Piette, Appleton, and the late Stanley Piette. Sharon was a graduate of Appleton West High School, and has lived in Green Bay, Texas, Sheboygan, Plover, Milwaukee, and in Butler, Wis., the past four years. She currently was the store manager at Big Lots in Milwaukee. Sharon loved animals; dogs, cats, birds, and ferrets were her pets. Her special attribute was having a very caring heart for people in need.
Sharon is survived by her mother, Aurelia “Ory” Piette; her two brothers, Bruce (Sandy) Piette, Black Creek, and Bill (Robin) Piette, South Milwaukee; her sister-in-law, Barb Piette, Kimberly; her nieces and nephews, Lori (Dave) Vannett and their children, Jacob and Sydney, Jeff (Sarah) Piette and their children, Allison and Emily, Sara (Brad) Knickmeier and their son, Andrew Jack, Jamie Piette (fiancee, Scott), Adam (Jackie) Piette and their daughter, Ella Rose, Mark Piette, Jenny Piette, and Zack Piette. Sharon is further survived by aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father and her brother, John Piette.
Memorial services for Sharon will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2007, at ZION LUTHERAN CHURCH, Gammelin Chapel, 912 North Oneida Street, with Rev. Larry Matthews officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Gammelin Chapel. A memorial fund in Sharon’s name is being established.
The family would like to express their thanks to Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital for the wonderful care Sharon had received from the doctors and nurses.
