Scott J. Witthuhn

APPLETON – Scott Witthuhn peacefully passed away on April 20, 2022 at Ascension St. Elizabeth hospital surrounded by his family. He was born to Ralph and Carol (Engel) Witthuhn on March 26, 1962.

Scott was baptized at First English Lutheran Church and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. He attended the Appleton public school system. Scott was a fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed watching the games on TV. He and his sister often tossed a football around at halftime. He also loved playing the guitar from a very young age.

Scott is survived by his step-son Josh Gottschalk and his siblings Rusty (Alison) Witthuhn and Penny Hast. He is further survived by nephews Joseph Witthuhn; Jeffrey Witthuhn; Gary Hast Jr. and Trevor Hast.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Carol Witthuhn, brother David Witthuhn, twin brother Steve Witthuhn, paternal grandparents Hilbert and Lydia Witthuhn, and maternal grandparents Walter and Elizabeth Engel.

There will be a gathering and celebration of Scott’s life on Friday, April 29th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St, Appleton. The family would like to thank Dr. Freeman and the entire ICU staff at St. Elizabeth for the excellent care they provided Scott and the compassion they showed to the family.
