Scott A. Steinfeldt, age 64, of Ashwaubenon, passed away on July 9, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. Scott was born on March 16, 1959 in Antigo, Wisconsin to Russel and Evelyn (Mach) Steinfeldt. He was a graduate of Appleton East High School, Class of 1977. After graduation he was employed with Rich’s Bakery for several years. Next he served his country honorably as a member of the U.S. Army. During his time in the Army he was trained as a truck driver. He was employed by U.S.F. Holland as a truck driver. He retired from Holland at age 57. After retirement he went to work for Kobussen Bus, driving school bus and occasionally driving bus for other events. He also worked for Noltes LLC with military vehicles and cement trucks.
Scott loved the outdoors. For many years he owned a farm in Birnamwood. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and time at his cabin up north near Mountain. He was a classic car enthusiast and was a member of several local car clubs, including the Nicolet Region Model A Club, the Old Time Auto Club and the 2-Cylinder Club. He also enjoyed auto races and for many years drove Stock Car with his brother at WIR. He also loved music and dancing and was a big fan of the band “Rocker”. He met his partner Kathy at a Rocker show.
He will be sadly missed by his partner Kathy Kipke of Ashwaubenon, his siblings; Thomas (Carolyn) Steinfeldt, Eugene Steinfeldt, Daniel Steinfeldt, Beth Knapp, Patricia (special friend Gary Koehnke) Hubert, Ellen (Bob) Hegner, Susan Monson, and Lynn (fiance' Richard Vermeern) Long, aunt Dorothy Mach as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jerome (Susan) Steinfeldt, brother-in-law Jim Knapp.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 13, 2023 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Wichmann Funeral Homes, Tri-County Chapel in Menasha. Visitation will continue on Friday July 14, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. There will be a funeral service on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Deacon Mike Dabeck officiating.
