Scott Allen Johnson, age 62, passed away on September 10, 2024, with his loving family at his side. Scott was born on October 20, 1961, to Dennis and Janice (Massey) Johnson in Appleton. He was raised in this loving home with his siblings.
Scott lived his life simply and with grace. He was one who would often extend himself to help a neighbor or any family member in need. Scott’s family and friends were ever important to him, so much so that he would often head to deer camp (though he wasn’t much of a hunter) to support his brother and nephews in their quest.
Fiercely independent, Scott was known for doing what he wanted when he wanted. Scott would work hard on a daily basis and spent his off time driving to visit those he loved. He often spent time helping his neighbors with their lawns or clearing their driveways in the winter. He also spent time parking cars during Packer games, which allowed him to attend a game or two!
Scott was ever the practical joker. He would randomly make the “psst” sound to get people’s attention and then act like he’d done nothing. He was known for taking one bite of a cookie and then replacing it in the package-just to annoy those around him. He even taught his 3year old great niece how to do a hand fart.
Scott had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed time fishing. He loved to spend time at the cabin and enjoyed time walking in the woods. He enjoyed hunting, but especially “enjoyed” dragging the deer to camp. Scott also enjoyed caring for his perfectly manicured lawn-he was a “bagger” not a “mulcher” and spend hours edging, trimming, and packaging his shrubs in burlap for the winter.
Passionate about any Wisconsin sport-though the Brewers and the Packers were his favorite.
Scott is survived by his mother Janice; sister Bonnie Johnson and brother Steve (Debbie Hoerth) Johnson; nieces and nephews David (Sarah), Cody, Kevin, Caitlynn, Carleigh; as well as great nephew and niece Landen and Laurel. He is further survived by other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Dennis; his sister Cheryl as well as other family and friends.
Scott’s celebration of life will take place on Tuesday September 24, 2024 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Wichmann Funeral Home, Tri County Chapel, 1592 S Oneida, Fox Crossing. Please wear your favorite jeans and a tee shirt in honor of Scott.
