It is with deep sadness and profound grief we share that our sweet Sarah Alexandra Davis passed away on March 27th, 2023 in Milwaukee, WI, at the age of 32 after battling a brief and unexpected illness. She was the beloved and cherished daughter of Mark and Nancy Davis, a loving sister, auntie, niece, granddaughter, cousin and friend.
Sarah was born on May 19th, 1990 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada and has lived in Wisconsin since she was two years old. After graduating from Neenah High School, Sarah moved to a city that she loved, Milwaukee, WI, where she went to UW Milwaukee, worked as a manager in the restaurant industry and where she met her boyfriend, Ben. She enjoyed the city life and lived with her best buddy, her dog Riley.
Sarah loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed music festivals, traveling and fine foods. She learned to curl at a young age and loved curling with her family. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul and a heart of gold. She would do anything for anyone who needed her. She had the most wonderful and mischievous sense of humor. She was Daddy’s little girl and had an unconditional bond with her mom who she jokingly called Nance. She adored and admired her big sister Lindsay, her brother Taylor was her best friend and she enjoyed laughing endlessly with her brother-in-law Josh. Her twin niece and nephew were the loves of her life, and she was so thrilled and proud to be an Auntie. We were all so blessed to have known and loved her. We cannot at this point imagine life without her and will miss her forever.
Sarah was preceded in death by maternal grandfathers, Ronn Metcalfe and Clint Bowler and paternal grandmother, Florence Davis. She is survived by her parents, Mark and Nancy Davis, brother Taylor Davis, sister Lindsay Johnson, brother-in-law Joshua Johnson, niece and nephew Stella and Beckham Johnson, grandfather Ronald Davis, grandmother Nan Bowler, boyfriend Ben Schlough, and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

“I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart). I am never without it (anywhere I go you go, my dear and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling.
I fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet). I want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it’s you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you.
Here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life, which grows higher than soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart.
I carry your heart (I carry it in my heart).
(E.E. Cummings)
We will love you forever and always our sweet Angel. xoxo
“The soul will fly back to her Heaven.”
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital and Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center who tried so hard to help our Sarah.
