Sanjuanita "Rachel" Martinez

Sanjuanita “Rachel” Raquel Martinez, age 47, passed away peacefully yet unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, May 28, 2023.  Rachel was born on May 12, 1976, in Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter of Simón and Maria (Reyna) Martinez.  She enjoyed baking cupcakes with her nieces, and decorating for Halloween including making her children’s costumes.  She also enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and drawing.  Above all, she loved the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her grandson.

Rachel is survived by her father: Simón Martinez; children: Ryan and Reyna Martinez; grandson: Legend; and siblings: Leticia Rivera, Mario (Gloria) Martinez, Margarita (Dan) Vasquez, Simón Martinez Jr., Nancy Gonzalez, and Gabriel Martinez.

Rachel is preceded in death by her mother.

A funeral service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at St. Therese Catholic Church, 213 E. Wisconsin Avenue, Appleton. Visitations will be held at Wichmann Tri-County Chapel, 1592 South Oneida Street, Menasha on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 4 PM until 6 PM.  Friends and family will gather again on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 10 AM until the time of service at the church.
