Age 66, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 25, 2001 at Theda Clark Medical Center. Sandra was born on September 9, 1935 in Neenah, daughter of the late Harry and Eva (Rusch) Popp. On May 13, 1960, Sandra married Joseph Bavinck, and they have enjoyed over 41 years of marriage together. Sandra loved to bake for family and friends, and would create anything they wished. She also enjoyed playing bingo, especially at the casino. Sandra will be greatly missed by her husband Joseph; her 2 daughters, Tina (Steve) Vignali; Holly (Rick) Janssen; her son Dave Bavinck; and her grandchildren, Joseph, Travis and Ashley Vignali; Shane Drechsel; Ricky and Sammy Janssen; Terri Billington; and Allen and Nick Bavinck. She is further survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, cousins and friends. Sandra was preceded in death by her son, Joseph. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, December 29, 2001, at HIGHLAND MEMORIAL PARK, Star of Hope Chapel, 3131 North Richmond Street, Appleton, with Rev. Todd Murken officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, December 28 from 4 – 7 p.m., and again at the chapel on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
