Age 78, died on Friday, August 24, 2001, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Ruth was born on November 27, 1922, in Appleton, daughter of the late Leo and Gertrude (Lehrer) Miller. She married Robert Kipp, and they enjoyed 56 years of marriage, until he preceded her in death in 2000. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Appleton. She enjoyed many outdoor activities, including gardening, hunting and fishing. Ruth also enjoyed making crafts. She will be greatly missed by her 4 sons, Richard (Debbie) Kipp, Brunswick, Maine; John (Penny) Kipp, Key West, Florida; Anton (Lynne) Kipp, Middleton, Wisconsin; Clarence Kipp, Appleton; 3 brothers, Robert (Mary Lee) Miller, Appleton; Thomas (Donna) Miller, Colorado; Norman (Diane) Miller, Appleton; 4 sisters, Imalda (John) Woldt, Kaukauna; Ann (August) Becker, Chris Chapman, and Louise Miller, all of Appleton; 7 grandchildren, Mike Kipp, Shelly (Russ) Prophett, and Andy (Stephanie) Kipp, all of Brunswick; Sean Kipp, Key West; Morgan Kipp, Austin, Texas; Jesse Kipp and Dana Kipp, both of Madison; and 9 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Ruth was preceded in death by her brothers, Hugh (Aurelia) Miller; Perrie (Jane) Miller; Dick (Irene) Miller; and 2 sisters, Dolores (Alfred) Endres; and Gertrude (Pete) Van Linn. The Funeral Service will be held at Noon, on Monday, August 27, 2001, at the funeral home, with Henry Grosek officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday, August 26, from 4 until 8 p.m., and again at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
