RUTH KAPHAEM

Age 73, of Appleton passed into eternity on October 22, 2001. Born in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, on June 10, 1928, she is the daughter of the late Fred and Minnie (Raab) Crandall. Ruth married Lester Kaphaem on June 13, 1953, and they celebrated 37 years of marriage before his death in 1990. She enjoyed caring for others throughout her life and worked for Appleton Memorial Hospital and the Outagamie County Home Aide program. She was an active member of the Appleton Church of The Nazarene for many years.

Ruth’s survivors include four sons and their wives, Brian and Kathy, DePere; Mark and Kathleen, Morton Illinois; David and Karla, Neenah; Todd and Nancy, Oshkosh; six grandchildren, Joshua, Callie, Emily, Andrew, Shannon, and Caitlin; and three brothers, Clifford, Tupelo, MS; Wesley, Rhinelander, WI; and Lyle (Jean), Jackson, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester and an infant daughter, Susan.

For Ruth, her physical death is just the beginning of a glorious homecoming as she enters God’s presence with faith and confidence in the redeeming sacrifice provided by her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her personal relationship with Him began in 1972, and will continue throughout all eternity.

Friends and family may call at Wichmann Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Celebration Service at 7:00 PM.
