In loving memory of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, fisherman and man of God.
Age 83, died Thursday, July 11, 2002. Russ was born June 17, 1919 to the late Charles and Alice (Akins) Vaughn in Festus, MO. He married the former Georgia Davis on November 11, 1944 in Festus, MO, she survives him. Russ served in the U.S. Navy during WWII until his honorable discharge. Russ's career was in sales serving the farming community throughout the midwest.
He is survived by his wife, Georgia Vaughn, four sons, Gregory Vaughn, Mark (Linda) Vaughn, Steve (Lori) Vaughn and Barry Vaughn; six grandchildren, Ryan Vaughn, Jaime (Brooks) Lindall, Jason Vaughn, Lindy Vaughn, Amy Vaughn and Andy Vaughn; two great grandchildren, Nathan and Adam Lindall; two brothers, Robert (Vi) Vaughn and John (Jeanne) Vaughn and a sister Louise Rollins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dana and a sister Alene.
The Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM on Monday, July 15, 2002 at The WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Tri County Chapel, 3212 South Oneida Street, Menasha with Rev. Robert Bohn officiating. Viewing and visitation will be SUNDAY at the Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday at the Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at The Historic Riverside Cemetery after full military rites are completed.
A memorial is being established in Russ's name.
The Vaughn family would like to thank the medical staff at Theda Clark Medical Center and Appleton Medical Center for the care and compassion they gave Russ over the past few months.
