Rudolph Hampp, 83, went to be with his wife on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Cherry Meadows.
Rudy was born on October 17, 1933 to Albert and Ottilla Hampp in Germany. He came to the US in 1952 at the age of 19. Rudy was a veteran having served in the US Army. On July 30, 1955 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Laux at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha. Rudy retired from Gilbert Papers on April 1, 1994 after 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and gardening. Rudy was a great cook and a Packer, Badger and Brewer fan. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin up north and time with family and friends.
Rudy is survived by his children; Shelly (Mark) Konrad, Rick (Lori) Hampp, Jason (Melissa) Hampp, grandchildren; Kirsten (Andrew) Belonger, Kenny Hampp, Melissa (fiancée Cameron) Rudie, Heather Konrad, Justin Konrad and Kurtis Konrad, great grandchildren; Grace and Noelle Belonger, a brother Albert (Irmgard) Hampp, nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors. Rudy was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, his parents, a sister and brother-in-law Lilli and John Weller and his mother-in-law and father-in-law.
The memorial service for Rudy will be held on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, TRI COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida St. A time of visitation will be held on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at Cherry Meadows and a very special thank you to his neighbors who helped him throughout the years and Dr. David Anderla and his staff for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established.
