Nieman, Rudolph H.
Rudolph H. Nieman, age 82, of Appleton, died Sunday afternoon, June 24, 2007. He was born October 14, 1924, to the late Harry R. and Eleanora (Manteufel) Nieman, in Appleton, where he was a resident all of his life. Rudy served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had been employed by Landwehr and Hackle, of Mackville and later by Fox Valley Lutheran High School. Rudy and his wife, Caroline enjoyed traveling and toured the country in their RV. He made friends everywhere he went. Rudy was a member of St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Caroline E. (Sternhagen) Nieman, whom he married May 6, 1950; his children, Charlene (Roy) Beyer, Algoma; Debra (Dick) Brooker, Fremont; Curtis Nieman, Appleton; 10 grandchildren, Andy Brooker, Angela (Roy) Krueger, Brett (Carrie) Brooker, Kim (Bret) Bollmeier, Eric (Megan) Beyer, Jason (Rachel) Beyer, Kevin (Yoshimi) Beyer, Joshua (Jackie) Nieman, Erica and Tamara Nieman; 12 great grandchildren, Tatum, Nathan and Ella Bollmeier, Zachary, Madelyn, Isabelle, Emma and Eli Beyer, Ava and Meadow Krueger, Clayton and Brayden Nieman; a sister Audrey Kobussen. He was preceded in death by an infant son Carl, a sister, Lusetta Tellock, a brother, Sheldon Nieman, a brother-in-law, Merlin Kobussen, a niece, Sherry Komp and a nephew, Glen Kobussen. Funeral services for Rudolph will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 28, 2007, at ST MATTHEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 South Mason Street, with Reverend Paul T. Schuler officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4 to 8 pm and on Thursday at the church, from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Memorial funds have been established for St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church and Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
