Rosemary C. (Last) Keil, 84 years, passed away peacefully February 25, 2017 at St. Paul Elder Care in Kaukauna, Wisconsin. She was born May 19, 1932 in Appleton, Wisconsin to her parents William and Catherine (Klein) Last. She went to St. Joseph Grade School and was a graduate of Kimberly High School Class of 1950. She went to work at Riverside Paper Co. in Appleton and retired from there after 32 years of loyal service.
Rosemary met and married Donald Keil of Kaukauna on November 7, 1953. They resided in Kaukauna all their 43 years of married life until Donald passed away on January 3, 1997. Rosemary was an avid hunter and fisherwoman until she lost her partner Don. They loved the Green Bay Packers and were season ticket owners. They also loved to play cribbage and sheepshead. She loved to knit and many family and friends have her pair of home spun “booties”. Rosemary was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kaukauna.
Rosemary is survived by sisters-in-law Marlene (Wayne) Iverson, Marcene Last, and June Kobs, nieces and nephews Marilyn (Don) Borsche, Dan (Irene) Horn, Roger Horn, Diane (Russ) Bloch, and Cheryl, her God-child, (Don) Schmidt. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, William and Catherine Last, sisters Betty Last and Marion Horn, brothers Tom Last, Charles Last, and Norman Last, in-laws Herman and Ruth Keil, sisters-in-law Jean Last, Virginia (Paul) Erdman, Carol (George) Chapman, Jane (Archie) Jungenberger, brothers-in-law Norman Horn, Don Kobs, , Paul Keil, and special niece and God-child Joann Horn.
A Funeral Service for Rosemary will be held on Thursday, March 2 at 1:30 pm at St. Paul Elder Care Chapel, 316 E. 14th St., Kaukauna. Family and friends may gather at the Chapel from 12:30 pm until time of Service.
Memorials in Rosemary's name may be made to St. Paul Elder Service. The family would like to thank St. Paul's Elder Service and its many wonderful caregivers. And also a great thank you to all the beautiful care she received from St. Paul Hospice.
