Mrs. Rose W. Heinritz, age 104, of 1206 East Opechee Street, Appleton, died on Saturday, February 5, 2005, at Rennes Health Care Center. Rose was born on September 14, 1900, in Stephensville, the daughter of Charles and Rosa Steidl. On October 14, 1919, she married Fred C. Heinritz; he preceded her in death on October 22, 1948. For many years Rose had been actively involved in the community, having served on the Boards of the Visiting Nurse Association and the Appleton Girl Scouts. She also volunteered her time with the Appleton Catholic Schools and School Sisters of Notre Dame. Rose was a charter member of Delphian Study Club and a member of Riverview Country Club for many years. Along with her community activities, Rose enjoyed traveling, bridge, needlepoint and knitting for charitable organizations. Rose is survived by her son and daughter -in-law Fred T. and Gretchen Heinritz, Appleton; her daughter and son-in-law Rosann and George Sexton, Chester, VT; and her daughter-in-law Suzanne Heinritz, Longmont, CO. She is further survived by her grandchildren Barbara Schultz, Jean Ferrone, James Marcellus, Mary Bradford, Rick Heinritz, Charles Heinritz, Kurt Heinritz, James Heinritz, Mark Heinritz, Christopher Heinritz, Anne Bryan, Kathleen Hines, Megan Brendel, and David Sexton; 23 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Rose was preceded in death by her daughter Lucille Marcellus, her son James A. Heinritz, her grandsons Paul, Karl, and Peter Heinritz; her four sisters Adeline Welch, Ann Miller, Elsie Kuether, Erna Jones; and her brother Carl Steidl. The Funeral Liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2005, at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH 410 W. Lawrence St with Fr. Larry Abler officiating. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton. A memorial fund has been established in her name to benefit Appleton Catholic Education System (ACES), LEAVEN or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
