Rosanne J. Van Ryzin

Age 88, passed away on Wednesday May 9, 2007 with her family at her side. Rosanne was born November 8, 1918, in Kimberly, WI., daughter of the late Peter and Susan (Van Laanen) Verbeten. Rosanne enjoyed craftwork, cooking, sewing, decorating, and dancing. She was a volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Shoppe for 40 plus years, and was very active with the Christian Mothers of Sacred Heart Parish in Appleton where she was a member. She made many long lasting friendships that were cultivated through 50 plus years of tax preparation and bookkeeping.
Rosanne is survived by 2 sons; Wade (Chris Baum) Van Ryzin, and Gary (Pamela) Van Ryzin; 5 grandchildren; Casandra (Ken) Cobb, Al (Erika) Van Ryzin, Kimberly, Andrew, and Benjamin Van Ryzin; 3 great grandchildren, Max, Maclean Rose, and Shen. She is further survived by 2 sisters; Gretchen Hornung, and Julienne Rusch; and 2 brothers Francis and Richard (Janet) Verbeten, and a sister in law; Helen (Gordon) Schuh.
Rosanne was preceded in death by her former husband, Howard, brothers and sisters in law; L. Marie Verbeten, Bob Hornung, Maynard Rusch, Lawrence Van Ryzin, Kenneth “Jake” Van Ryzin, Lois (Russel) Vandelois, and Marian (Gordon) Smith.
The Memorial Mass for Rosanne will be at 11 a.m. on Monday May 14, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 222 East Fremont St., Appleton. Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. and again at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial is being established.
