Rosalinda Yanez

Rosalinda Martinez Yanez, age 53, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at the Thedacare Regional Medical Center Appleton. Rosalinda was born on May 21, 1966, in Corpus Christi, Texas, daughter of Velma (Martinez) Bautista. She met her future husband, Genaro Yanez, when they were 15 years old. They shared many years of marriage and raised 5 wonderful children.

Rosalinda held one of the toughest jobs in the world; being a Mom. Her family, children and grandchildren were her entire heart. Rosalinda always supported her children’s decisions in life and was never judgmental. She not only liked every picture they ever posted on Facebook, but also would call them every evening to say goodnight. Rosalinda was known for being sweet, gentle, soft spoken and shy. She would show you her funny sense of humor once she got to know you. She was slow to anger and, as a born again Christian, she had a strong faith in God.

Rosalinda always started her morning with a large cup of coffee and a little something sweet. She loved cooking and watching cooking shows. She was famous for her potato salad. Rosalinda enjoyed the classic T.V. shows like “I Love Lucy” and “The Waltons”. She also enjoyed “The Price Is Right”, “Family Feud”, and any scary movie. 70’s music was her absolute favorite.

Rosalinda sadly left behind her loving mother: Velma (Johnny) Bautista; sisters: Debra (Glenn) Marshall, Jeanette (Mallory) Wright, Laura (Tim) McConnell, and Esther (Jesse) Schoen; brother: David Bautista; husband: Genaro Yanez; children: Samuel Yanez, Rebecca (Matthew) Wiese, Sarah (Bill) Pues, Rachel (Kory) Kolosso, and Gina Yanez. She is further survived by the grandchildren that she adored: Darion, Sienna, Aaralynn, Serina, Corianna, and Remi. She was welcomed to Heaven by her grandparents: Santos and Epolita Gutierrez. Along with many aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

The service for Rosalinda will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 537 N. Superior St. Appleton. A time of visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service.
