Age 94, died unexpectedly, Wednesday afternoon, January 30, 2002. He was born December 28, 1907, to the late Otto and Bertha (Schultz) Reetz, in Appleton, where he was a resident all of his life. Tip had been employed by Tuttle Press his entire working life, retiring in 1972. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was a Master Mason of Waverly Lodge #51 F. and A. M. for 54 years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Barbara Reetz, Omaha, NE; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Mark Prather, Appleton; eight grandchildren, Bryan (Tammy) Prather, Samantha and Amanda Prather, Jennifer, Matthew and Joe Reetz, John (Jennifer) Gorin, Kelly (Chad) McLaughlin; four great grandchildren, Jory and Jamie Prather, Troy Pilkington, Taylor McLaughlin; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Marion) Driessen, Norbert (Ann) Driessen, Leo (Fran) Driessen; and a special friend, Dennis Graf. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Driessen) Reetz, on January 17, 1999; seven brothers, George, Walter, Willie, Carl, Elmer, Harvey Reetz, a brother in infancy and two sisters, Evelyn Reetz and Lorrain Mazenetz. The Masonic Service for Ronald will be held at 4:30 pm, Saturday, February 2, 2002, at the funeral home, with George Frye officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3:00 pm Saturday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
