Kapheim, Ronald J.
Appleton

Our beloved Father, Ronald J. Kapheim, entered eternal life on September 22, 2008. We thank our Holy Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ for the precious gift of his life. We are honored and humbled by his years of provision, protection, and love. This intelligent, gentle, polite man lead a life of leadership, adventure, and sacrifice. We are forever grateful for his guidance, many times mixed with a unique, playful sense of humor. His time here consisted of joy and sorrow, pain, and struggle, acceptance and peace. People placed in his life through the years received love, encouragement, instruction, and purpose. We pray that by his presence others saw a life of meaning prioritized first by God, then family, hard work, and fun. His children and his family thank Brewster Village for 10 years of compassionate, diligent, tender care. Their presence brought comfort and peace. Reassurance that God takes care of every detail in our lives. We will be strengthened in our grief knowing that our Father is in Heaven because he accepted his sinfulness, then believed in Jesus Christ's sacrifice on the cross.

Ron was born on April 10, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of the late Clarence and Marie (Nessman) Kapheim. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1953, and went on to earn his Masters in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Ron is a retired Major of the United States Air Force, having proudly served his country for 23 years. In 1962 he married Monica Grant in Sparta, Wisconsin, and the union was blessed with three sons and a daughter before she was called to Heaven on March 10, 1999. Over the years Ron was employed by S.C. Johnson & Co., Kimberly-Clark, and the Institute of Paper Chemistry. He worked for many years with the Boy Scouts of America, and served as a liaison for the Air Force Academy. He was private pilot, and enjoyed photography, skiing, and tennis.

He will be sadly missed by his children: Joe (Jackie), Charlotte, NC, Mary Frances Kapheim, Appleton, Greg (Krista), Appleton, Jeff (Joy) Menasha; grandchildren: Haley, Nick, Olivia, Cameron, Brianna, Madelyn, and Kenny; his twin brother, Donald G. (Marge) Kapheim, Menomonee Falls, and other brother Larry (Mary) Kapheim, Milton; as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law and their families; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his loving wife, Monica.
