Ronald A. Rosin, age 65, of Appleton, passed away at Cherry Meadows Hospice, Appleton, on Monday, July 11, 2016. Ron was born on May 30, 1951, in Appleton, to the late Harold and Cordell (Hurst) Rosin. He married Donna Jean Peters on April 18, 1975 in Oneida; she preceded him in death in 2003.
Following his graduation from Kaukauna High School, Ron was employed at Elm Tree Bakery (later Rich's Bakery). Following the closure of Rich's, he was a truck driver and then was employed at Thilmany Paper Company until his retirement. Ron attended Holy Cross Catholic Church and school and later became a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Appleton. His fondest memories of St. B's were the church picnics. He truly enjoyed the rides and games with his entire family. Ron served as president of Catholic Financial for 26 years. He felt honored to sit next to Cardinal Timothy Dolan at a District Meeting in Milwaukee.
Survivors include his daughter, Becky Rosin of Suamico; his sisters and brothers, Sue (Marty) Becker, Robert (Mary Kay) Rosin, James (Pam) Rosin, Shirley (Tom) Havel, Harold (Vicki) Rosin, Carl (Sandi) Rosin, Lori (Bob) Gossen, Luann (Tom) Calmes, Alan Rosin, Mary Ambrose and Dennis Rosin; his grandchildren, Austin Toyra, Peyton and Aryanah Rosin. He is further survived by many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Brian, in 2001.
The Funeral Liturgy will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15, 2016, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with Fr. Tom Pomeroy officiating. Friends may call at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W. Wisconsin Avenue, Kaukauna, on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you his special friend Jere Ambroso, and Nancy and Todd at Cherry Meadows, for their loving care. A memorial has been established in his name.
