Age 59, died Sunday, September 16, 2001 at his home, surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer. Rollie was born in Argonne, Wisconsin on April 4, 1942 to John and Marian (Feucht) Novak. He graduated from Crandon High School in 1960, and served in the United States Army for two years. On May 28, 1966, he married the former Diana Lempel in Laona, Wisconsin. Rollie worked for Giddings and Lewis in Kaukauna and Valmet in Appleton as a machinist until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family at the cottage near Hiles, Wisconsin. Rollie is survived by his wife of thirty-five years: Diana Novak of Kaukauna; a daughter: Noreen Newhouse of Kaukauna; a son: Keith Novak of Kaukauna; a granddaughter: Lisa Lettau; a grandson: Joshua Newhouse; a sister: Darlene (Ray) Howen of Niagara, Wisconsin; three brothers: Bernie Novak and his special friend Mary of Dundas, Wisconsin; Jim (Deb) Novak of Ohio; Ed (Karen) Novak of Kaukauna; a sister-in-law; Paulette Novak of South Carolina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Nancy, and a brother Jerry. The funeral liturgy for Rollie will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2001 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna with Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Thursday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the liturgy. A memorial fund has been established in Rollie’s name.
