Age 77, died Monday morning, April 28, 2003. He was born September 5, 1925, to the late Martin and Melva (Yankee) Rehfeldt, in Appleton, where he was a resident all of his life. Roland served in the U. S. Army, with the 10th Mountain Division, during WW II, in Italy and had been employed by Wisconsin Electric Company for 41 years, retiring in 1986. He married Doris E. Schroeder on May 28, 1949, at Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Church, in Neenah. Roland was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and the Harvey Pierre V. F. W. Post #2778. Survivors include his wife, Doris E. (Schroeder) Rehfeldt; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randall and Shirley Rehfeldt, Appleton; Thomas and Lynn Rehfeldt, Appleton; three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Scott and Amy Rehfeldt. Funeral services for Roland will be held at 11:00 am, Thurday, May 1, 2003, at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 North Morrison Street, with Reverend Ralph C. Waack officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 am, Thursday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
