Age 68, of Appleton
Passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2003, in Appleton. Roger was born on August 26, 1934 to the late Oren and Elenora Knapp in the Town of Pella. He worked at Valley Packaging in Appleton for over ten years. He was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church. Roger will always be remembered for his ability to carry on a conversation with anyone. He could tell great stories, loved polka music and loved to play slot machines.

Roger is survived by his sister Delores Steeno; nieces Susan Zastrow and Sharon (Steve) Hack and their children: Heather and Bennett; nephew, Mark (Susan) Hauschel and their children: Jordan and Alex; cousin, Donna Blankenschien and next-door and long-time friend, Andy Schuh.

He was preceded in death by his parents and cousin, Marvin Ebert.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 3, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church (912 N. Oneida St.) with Reverend Larry Matthews officiating. The visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2003 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home, and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. A memorial fund is being established.
