Robert W Hoffman

Robert W. Hoffman, 71, of Gresham, formerly of Menasha, died Sunday February 6, 2011 at Appleton Medical Center. Robert was born July 8, 1939, in Menasha a son of Howard and Josephine (Hackstock) Hoffman. He married Carol Champeau in November 1966.

Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, making wine, and archery. He was a member of Winnebago Archers, and TOPS.

Robert is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol, two daughters, Holly Hoffman of Menasha, and Heather Ritzman of Nebraska, two granddaughters, Josie and Bobbi Ritzman, four sisters, Barbara (Tom) Pottner, Helen Knuiijt, Sue (Tom) Martin, and Mary Lou (Bob) Grapentin; two sisters-in-law, Dolly Hoffman, Joanne (Peter) Taddy, two brothers-in-law, David Champeau, Ollie (Paulette) Champeau; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers, Tom, Richard, Fred, and Charles.

A Time of Remembrance for Robert will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME–TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 3212 S. Oneida St., Menasha.

Roberts's family would like to thank the staffs at both Shawano Hospital and Appleton Medical Center, especially Patty, for all their care and compassion.
