Robert W. Cox

Robert “Bob” W. Cox, 65, beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away on November 11, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born in Appleton on June 15, 1946 to Roy and Melba (Flenz) Cox. Bob was a long time employee of Graphic Packaging, having retired recently. He was an avid baseball fan, collecting baseball cards and memorabilia. Bob loved to fish and hunt and also bowled for many years. His family was by far the most important thing to him and the time he spent with them will always be cherished.

Bob is survived by his children; Kurt (Kim) Cox, Cypress, Texas, Kristine Cox, Tennessee, Patti (Larry) Witt, Montello, Michael (Kate) Merryfield, Appleton, Amy (Simo) Baji, Menasha, Troy (Jenny) Cox Danville, Virginia, Dawn (Jason) King, Neenah, grandchildren; Christopher (Suzanne), Megan (Frank), Jessica, Zachary, Evan, Randi, Cole, Lacey, Avery, Landen, Isabel, Regan, Alex, Ramzy, Kayden, great grandchildren; Emma and Zeke, his mother Melba Cox, a sister Susan (Keith) Cory, a brother John (Joanne) Cox. Bob is further survived by his former wife and life long friend Penny Cox, a son-in-law, Dan Simon and other relatives and many friends. Bob was preceded in death by his father and a daughter, Beth Simon.

A funeral service for Bob will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011 at 6:00 PM at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Rosendale Cemetery.
