Bob Harke, age 87, was called home to heaven on Wednesday morning, October 27, 2021. Bob was born in Kimberly on April 1, 1934, son of the late Otto and Marie (Smits) Harke. He married Shirley Newhouse on May 7, 1960, and served in the United States Army for two years.
For forty-four years he was employed at the Kimberly Mill, and loved sports of all kinds, including the Brewers, Bucks, Badgers, and Packers. He also loved fishing and hunting, especially taking trips to South Dakota in search of pheasants.
Bob is survived by his wife: Shirley Harke; three brothers: Allen Harke, James (Jean) Harke, and Glenn (Sharon) Harke; a sister-in-law: Beverly Harke; and in-laws Betty, Nancy, Hazel, and Jerry. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Elwood and Lyle, a stillborn son, a sister-in-law Phyllis, and in-laws Florence and Gene.
The Christian Funeral Service for Bob will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, located at N8728 Coop Road in Menasha, with Rev. Jesse Johnston officiating. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Family and friends may gather directly at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.

Shirley would like to offer her sincere thanks to Pastors Johnston and Schumann for their visits and prayers, and to Jim, Jean, Mike, Sarah, Nancy, and Betty for five months of love, care, and assistance. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
