Ballou, Robert N., Jr.

Age 75, passed away at Brewster Village in Appleton on Tuesday, November 28, 2006. He was born in Denver, CO on May 18, 1931, son of the late Robert and Hazel (Bates) Ballou, Sr. On May 16, 1975 he married his wife of 31 years, Susan Winkler. Bob enjoyed traveling, especially by train, including going on vacation and general traveling. He was a member and past President of the Wisconsin Association of Railroad Passengers and also served as a board member of the National Association of Railroad passengers.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; children: Kelly (Gary) Christopher of Muskego; Randy (Paul) Damro of Little Chute; son-in-law, Tom Roethel of Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren; cousin, Jerry Lynn (Gary) Luedecke of Galveston, TX; Uncle, Donald Harmeier of Galveston, TX; and sister-in-law, Patricia Ballou of Menomonee Falls. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Terry Roethel; brother, James A. Ballou; nephew, Scott Ballou; aunt, Sybil Harmeier; and brother-in-law, Richard L. Winkler.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2006, at ALL SAINTS EPISCOPAL CHURCH, 100 N. Drew St., with Rev. Patrick Twomey officiating. Inurnment will be in All Saints Episcopal Church.
The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Atrium Two and Heron Pointe at Brewster Village for the kind and caring way in which Bob was treated.
