Robert "Bob" Metko

Bob passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the age of 80 years old.

Bob was born July 31, 1943, to the late Frank and Ida (Schultz) Metko in Kelly, WI. He moved to Appleton, WI when he was 18 and worked for Miller Electric for 39 years until his retirement in April of 2001. He continued to work part time at EIS and did volunteer work for St Joseph’s Food Pantry and Loaves and Fishes of the Fox Valley. He loved going to the races, traveling, woodworking, playing cards, reading, and spending time with his family. Throughout the years, Bob has gained some amazing friendships and was loved by so many. He will truly be missed.

He is survived by his children: Scott (Jody) Metko, Laura Dietzen (Josh Yenter), John (Vicki) Metko, and daughter-in-law Kim Metko: his beloved grandchildren: Andrew Metko, Tyler (Madelynn) Dietzen, Ryan (Sarah) Metko, Marissa (Graysen Westerman) Metko, Aaron Dietzen, Morgan Metko, Austin Metko; and his great grandchildren: Conrad Metko, Lucas Metko, and Everleigh Dietzen. Bob was preceded in death by his son: Ronald “Ron” Metko.

Bob wished to have no services.  Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Appleton. Online condolences my be expressed at www.wichmannfuneralhomes.com.
