Age 77, died on October 30, 2004, at his home. Bob was born on June 28, 1927, in Rockton, Illinois, to the late Frank G. and Alma J. (Swanson) Kitelinger. He married Priscilla Jane Edgerton on August 12, 1948, in Beloit. Bob graduated from Beloit High School in 1945 and then proudly served his county in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed as an accountant by the Gardner Machine Company of South Beloit, Illinois, Cellusuede Products of Rockford, Illinois, the Beloit State Bank, First American Credit Union and Sam’s Club of Appleton. He retired in 1989. Bob was a member of the American Legion, Marine Corps League, Forty et Eight and the Devil Dogs. The Kitelingers were members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Beloit.
Survivors include his children, Kathleen M (Gerald) Brien, Kaukauna, Wisconsin; Bruce A. (Julie) Kitelinger, Seattle, Washington; his sisters, Gladys I. Wright, Columbus, Georgia; Mabel Laird, Monroe, Ohio; Betty M. McDonald, Summerville, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Nathalie Brien, Appleton; Nicole (Chris) Bourassa, Oshkosh; Noel Brien (fiance Jim Doering), Kaukauna; Ben Kitelinger, Chevonne Kitelinger and Alex Kitelinger, all of Washington State. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2004, at the WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME, Appleton, with Rev. Dennis Ellisen and Rev. Martin Ruge of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, Appleton, officiating. Friends may call directly at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services. Entombment will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, Illinois, on Tuesday. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Bryan Scott and the staff and social workers at Affinity Hospice.
