Age 79, died Thursday evening, August 30, 2001, following a lingering illness. He was born February 6, 1922 to the late Paul and Zita (Wagner) Drexler, in Rochester, Minnesota. Bob served with the U. S. Navy during WW II as a Naval Pilot. Following his discharge he graduated from Iowa State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering and Dairy Industry. He had been employed AMPI as Director of Operations. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Jean K. Drexler, to whom he had been married for 14 years; a daughter and son-in-law, Margo and Andre Moeckel, Sonoma, California; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Rene Drexler, Corvallis, Oregon; six grandchildren, Monica and Alexis Moeckel, William and Clarie Drexler, Jessica and Kip Drexler; a daughter-in-law, Ann Drexler, Gainsville, Georgia; three sisters, Lucille Cansler, Mary Wendt and Helen Canellos, all of Sun City, Arizona; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Rosalie Drexler, Sun City, Arizona; Ralph and Ruth Drexler, Pace, Florida; a sister-in-law, Fran Drexler, Rochester, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert P. Drexler, Jr. and a brother William Drexler. The funeral liturgy for Robert will be held at 7:30 pm, Friday, September 7, 2001, at ST BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 West Pine Street, with Father John P. Bergstadt officiating. Entombment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 5:30 pm until the time of the mass.
