Age 78, died unexpectedly, Wednesday morning, December 11, 2002. He was born May 10, 1924, to the late Victor B. and Amanda C. (Demenski) Boyer, in Milwaukee and graduated from Northland College, Ashland, Wisconsin, with a B. S. Degree. Bob served with U. S. Naval Air Corps during WW II, on the island of Attu, as an Aviation Electrician's Mate 1st Class. He taught science and math, in schools in Tony, Hannibal, Hixton, and Gilman, Wisconsin and in Brillion for 26 years, retiring in 1989. Bob was very active in his church, was a Boy Scout Leader, enjoyed traveling and golf and in his younger years enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of Peace United Church of Christ, Brillion, where he served on the church council and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Bob is survived by his wife, Dena M. (van Doorn) Boyer, whom he married on August 25, 1948; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Dena and Gerald Schulz, Butte des Morts, WI; Debbie and Steven Mahlberg, Brownsville, WI; Roberta Repsa, Port Edwards, WI; eight grandchildren, Tricia (Steven) Voelz, William Schulz and his fiancee, Kim King, David Schulz, Benjamin and Nicholas Marx, Matthew, Christopher and Alex Repsa; a great granddaughter, Brooke Dena Voelz; a half brother, V. John Boyer, West Bend, WI; four brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters-in-law, Laota Boyer, Corinne van Doorn and a brother-in-law, Gerardus van Doorn. A Memorial Service for Robert will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 14, 2002, at PEACE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 489 South Glenview Avenue, Brillion, with Reverend Dr. Cathey A. Rennick officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, from 9:00 am until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.
