Robert J. "Sam" Verbrick

Age 78, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed into his eternal home on Thursday, February 16, 2006. Robert was born on March 26, 1927 to Thomas and Florence (Simon) Verbrick. He married Shirley Ann Dunsirn on August 13, 1955. Robert served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the Wisconsin Telephone Company in 1982 after thirty five years of service. Survivors include his wife of fifty years, Shirley; his children: Patrick (Amy) of Chicago, IL, Mary (Dave) Koehler of Hortonville, Michael (Katy) of Appleton, and Robert Jr. (Debbie) of Reno, NV; his grandchildren: Andrew and Bill (Kara), Dustin (Erica) and Dylan, Donald, James, Robert Joseph III, Greta and Noah; great-grandchildren, Grant, Hailey and Sweet Pea; a brother, Tom (Millie) and sisters Marge (Jack) Jahnke and Helen (Clarence) Lotzer. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald and his mother and father-in-law, Harvey and Olive (Pendergast) Dunsirn. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at ST. PIUS X CATHOLIC CHURCH, 500 West Marquette Street, Appleton, with Rev. Tom Farrell officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, February 18 from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The interment will be held at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
We mourn our loss, but celebrate your wonderful life, your great spirit and your return to your Heavenly Father. We'll miss you. We love you.
