Robert “Bob” J. Brumm, Sr. passed away peacefully, although unexpectedly at the age of 79 on January 11th, 2022. He was born on April 11, 1942 in Appleton to the late Joseph and Vivian Brumm. At the young age of 20, he married the love of his life, Carol (Schuh) Brumm and they had two children together that they loved dearly. He was a proud, loyal employee of Pacon for 47 years until he retired.
Bob, as most people referred to him had a pure passion for helping people. You could often find him shoveling for his neighbors, helping his family with various projects and would do anything for his grandkids. He may have been bashful if you told him, but he was the greatest grandfather they could ask for. He will always be known as a reliable, loving man his family and friends could count on.
He also loved the outdoors, specifically hunting, fishing and walking. You could often find him spending time in the woods, catching fish on his boat up north or at the mall getting in exercise with friends. Car shows were another common spot to see him, as he was a classic car enthusiast. He enjoyed watching Packer games and attending NASCAR races on the weekend with his son and taking nature walks with his daughter.
He is survived by his two loving children, Connie (Andy) Nickodem and Robert (Mary) Brumm along with his four beloved grandchildren, Tim (Allison) Brumm, Alyssa (Tyler) Sommerfeldt, Nicole Brumm and Colette Nickodem. He is further survived by his sister, Patricia Geenen and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother William, sister-in-law Liz and brother-in-law, Jerry Geenen.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior St., Appleton, WI 54911. Family and friends may visit from 9 AM to the time of service. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.
