· Robert C. Deeg, age 82, of Appleton, died Friday afternoon, May 25, 2007, following many health issues at Emerald Valley Assisted Living. He was born January 31, 1925 to the late Harry E. and Louise (Kobs) Deeg in Appleton, and had lived most of his life on Fire Lane 12, Lake Winnebago, where he enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing cards. He was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Robert served with 11th Air Force during WW II and the Korean Conflict. Robert had been employed by Albany International, Wire Works Division, Appleton. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Harvey Pierre VFW Post #2778. Survivors include six children, Sheren (Larry) Breitrick, Appleton; David Anderson, Little Chute; Patricia (Dave) Deeg-Metz, Appleton; Shirley (Kevin) Langenhuizen, Appleton; Jaymie (William) Snow, Oshkosh; Cynthia (Melvin Kohl) Deeg, Larsen; four grandchildren, Greg Breitrick, Martha and Jesse Kohl and Melissa Langenhuizen; a brother, Eugene (Dorothy) Deeg, Appleton; and a sister, Ethel Morgan, Niagara Falls, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois M. (Nelson) Deeg, January 29, 2007, a grandson, Daniel J. Breitrick and a brother-in-law, Lafe Morgan. Funeral services for Robert will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at APPLETON HIGHLAND MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 3131 North Richmond Street, with Reverend the Larry Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the chapel from 9:00 am, Wednesday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund is being established.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Emerald Valley Assisted Living, Dr. James Haine and ThedaCare Hospice for their outstanding care provided to Robert.
