Robert C. Andress
Age 86, died on February 12, 2003. He was born in Oakland, California on January 11, 1917 the son of the late Alice and William Andress. He grew up in Camden, N.J. Bob served in the Marine Air Force for 3 ¬Ω years during World War II. He married Alice Kirchman of Algoma, Wisconsin on January 9, 1946 in San Diego, California. Robert worked as a draftsman at RCA for 6 years, until he entered military service. After his military discharge, he and his wife Alice owned and operated a dairy farm in Algoma, Wisconsin for 12 years. He then sold the farm and he returned to Electrical Engineering work as Plant Manager at the Hartley Controls Corp. for 27 years. Upon his retirement from there, he worked another 12 years as a part-time employee at the Dennis Bahcall Rubber Company in Kaukauna, Wisconsin, retiring again at age 79. Survivors include his wife Alice, two daughters, Deborah (Dan) Dalum and Lynn (Tom) Rehfeldt. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Elizabeth (Brent) Case in San Antonio, TX, and Mackenzie Rehfeldt in Appleton. One great granddaughter also survives him, Andrea Case living in San Antonio. He is survived by his sister Anne Sinnett in Plano, Texas, and a niece, Nancy Peel in Plano, Texas and many other nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at 11:00 AM at St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church (129 S. Mason St.) with Pastor Jeffrey Verbeke officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Friday evening and at church from 10 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund is being established.
