Robert Mark Quella, 79, of Appleton, passed away on October 12, 2018 at his home.
Bob was born in Appleton, WI to Norbert Sr. and Ruth Quella on September 14, 1939. He went to school at St. Mary’s Catholic school in Menasha. He married Terry Woyak on February 17, 1962 at St. Mary’s, Menasha. He worked as a mill worker for the Glatfelter (Bergstrom) Paper Company for 36 years before he retired on February 1, 2002. Bob spent a great amount of time volunteering at St. Sacred Heart Church, and the Community Blood Center. He loved watching car races, was an avid fisherman, and deer hunter. He also enjoyed spending his time dabbling in computers, photography, and family genealogy. Most importantly, he was a family man, and loved his family very much.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Norbert Sr. and Ruth Quella; brother, William Quella; sister, Marge Quella, long lost sister, Mary Kay Kucerik who brought love and joy into our family; sisters-in-law, Janet Quella and Jan Gietman; brothers-in-law, Fred Harold and Ken Woyak; and his God child Bonnie.
Bob is survived by his wife, Terry Quella; his children, Steve (Lori) Quella, IA, Sharon Quella, Sun Prairie, Sue (Tom) Tengowski, Hobart; brothers, Norbert (Joyce) Quella Jr., MN, John (Louise) Quella, NC, Louis (Joanne) Quella, Menasha; sisters, Mary Harold, Neenah, Dorothy (Clarence) Jones, CA; grandchildren, Jennifer (Nick) Sitter, Camille, Trevor, and Aidan Tengowski; great-grandchildren, Gavin, and the triplets: Jayden, Lexi and Avery Sitter along with many other family, friends, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 19, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton, WI with Fr. Jon Thorsen officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M until the time of Mass on Friday. Burial will take place at a later time.
