Robert "Bob" Koehler, Sr.

Robert Koehler, age 87, of Chilton, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Homestead Care Center in New Holstein.

He was born on February 23, 1927 to the late Clayton and Fredola “Dola” (Lorenz) Koehler. In his younger years he enjoyed flying and stock car racing. Bob was involved on the family farm in Charlestown for over 50 years, and also owned the Chilton Downtowner from 1975 until 1981. He was an avid Packer fan and member of the Eagles Club in Chilton. Bob's heart and home were always open to stray animals. He enjoyed “wheeling and dealing” and being around family and friends.

Robert is survived by his children: Barbara Steudel, Larry (Sue) Koehler, and Robert (Lisa) Koehler; daughter-in-law Susan Koehler; grandchildren: Jill Koehler; Luke (Bobbie) Steudel and Lorraine (Daniel) Flores; Jeremiah Koehler, Rhainnon Koehler, and Katie (Mitch) Fowler; Brittany Sack, Tyler (Jessica) Sack, and Mattece Charlton and six great grandchildren. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his son Lloyd Koehler, daughter Sandra Koehler, and sister Ruby (Denton) Aebisher.

The funeral service for Robert will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, 1592 Oneida Street in Menasha. Rev. Sam Timm will be officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00 am until the time of service.
