Rita R Page

Rita R. Page, 70, passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2018. Rita was born on June 21, 1948 to Arnold and Mabel (Drinkwine) Carpenter. She worked for the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce for 26 years and was an active member of the Appleton’s Octoberfest Committee. She loved her dog Lucy, ice cream, and lighthouses. She enjoyed watching true crime shows, Dancing with the Stars, and game shows, where she enjoyed answering the questions. Rita was a wonderful cook and helped make a family cookbook to share all the family recipes with her family. Rita was a member of St. John Catholic Church and loved her church. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends and the time they spent will always be treasured.

Rita is survived by two children: Laurie (Tom) Vinje, Ryan (Ashley) Page; son-in-law John Rae; grandchildren: Morgan (fiancé Troy Othrow), Casie Rae, Michael J.C. Novak, Cheryl (Thomas) Fleming, Alexandria Novak, Autumn Page, Emily Page, Emily Vinje, Tim Vinje, Jenni Vinje, and Bob Vinje; great grandchildren: Michael J. Novak, Kaylee Fleming, Annabelle Vinje, Alexander Vinje, and Hayden on the way; a brother, Gary (Ellen) Carpenter; sisters-in-law: Nancy Carpenter and Claudette (Terry) Tipton; friends Mary Lou and Andy Olson; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Bobbi Rae, and siblings: Mary Holewinski, Ruth Schroeder, Earl Carpenter, Anna Marie Sirion, and Danny Carpenter.

The funeral liturgy for Rita will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 528 Second St. Menasha with Fr. Paul Paider officiating.
